I need formal job description for person
who would assist our Materials Manager and handle imports/exports as well as some purchasing.

Can anyone help ?

    Sounds as though you have a "Materials Clerk" you are trying to fill. I would recommend contacting a publications company for a Book of Job Descriptions or visit the SHRM website for reference.

    Isn't the Department of Labor's Dictionary of Occupational Titles online somewhere?

    I have a good job description for Materials Manager. You could pick and choose some of the duties, delegate them to the Materials Clerk, and use those duties to compose your description. Email me and I will get it to you.
