I am looking for a sample education agreement for employees to sign
before the employer pays for bachelor's and/or master's degree courses
to establish how long the employee is expected to continue working for
the company after the courses are completed, or repay the employer.
Thank you.

  • We do it on a course by course basis and that part of the policy simply states Employees who leave the employ of ________ within 2 years of such reimbursement shall refund __________ the amount of such reimbursement.
  • Best check your state labor laws. My state would view this policy as a restraint on a persons ability to make a living and move around. I suspect that this is true in most places. If you have no contingency plans to tie someone to their desk if they quit there is no point in having a policy. Rationalize your losses by realizing that many of the employees you hire received their education courtesy of another employer. It all equals out in the end.
