Promoting Policy

I'm the HR Rep. for a young Mfg. Co. with about 280 employees, and I'm currently putting together a promoting policy, does anybody have a policy that would like to share, or any advice on things that I need to be aware.

Do you mean a job posting policy so employees can apply for open positions, including positions that would be a promotion? I've got a job posting policy I'll send you with a form for the employee to fill out if you will send me your fax number.
