CEO letter about new security measures post 9-11

Bill Fee (not one of my clients), who is the CEO of WCPO Television (the ABC affiliate in Cincinnati, Ohio) has written of one of the best letters to the employees about new, stricter security measures that have to be imposed after September 11th. The new security measures will require much inconvenience to the employees. They include a new security fence, opening mail using gloves and masks, ID's are worn at all time, no visitors will be unescorted and all tours cancelled for the time being. All of these measures will frustrate and inconvenience employees, particularly those that are as independent as the news media. However, this CEO wrote a letter designed to remove all anger and frustration and encourage everybody to participate in these new measures. It is compassionate and persuasive. I have contacted him and he has agreed to allow me to furnish a copy to anyone who wishes to see it and use it as a template for communicating new stricter security measures. I'll be glad to fax a copy of the letter to anyone who e-mails me their fax number. It's truly an inspiring memo.
