Ceridian Payroll questions

We launched cerdian a few months ago. I am confused on 2 things and maybe i just dont know how to fix it myself. 1. birth dates and date of hire are not calculated fields and i have to use a calculator to figure this out. Its embarassing i have this new expensive system and the screen does not show age or years of service. 2. the 10 minute time out rule is very disconcerting. Im interrupted frequently and lose data and reports. Has anyone been able to change it?
