Exempt Employees working special Projects

Are there any provisions in the new overtime guidelines that allow payment outside of regular wages for exempt employees completing special projects?

I don't know about the new regs, but I think the old ones allow you to pay exempt employees additional compensation, including bonuses, overtime, and comp time.
