This may have already appeard on the forum...

But my employer wants to dock Exempt employees for Full days they miss from work...when they take a day off and do not have any sick or vacation time to cover it?

If an exempt ee has exhausted their available paid time off you may deduct for full days for sick or personal time.

Do you know if there is anywhere I can find this reg? My boss wants to see it?

29 cfr 541.118(a)(2) and (3) unless you are a public employer, then you may be able to deduct for absences less than a day 541.5d and 541.118 (2-5).

FLSA does permit the salary to be docked for full days of absence due to personal reasons (non-illess or injury) even f there is not paid time benefit the emplyer offers. The same is not true for full day absences due to illness or injry (for that the employer must offer a sick pay benefit to which the employee is subject).
