If someone works three 8 hour days (24 hours weekly) with a 30 minute paid lunch included and she gets 10 vacation days a year, shouldn't 8 hours for each vacation day be included in her pay? It looks like the girl was only receiving 7 or 7 1/2 hours for each of her vacation days. Please advise - in a quandry!

Look to her company's policy for the answer. She may be considered part-time and is receiving a pro-rated part-time vacation amount rather than a full-time benefit. Ask payroll, it could also be a simple accounting error.
