Travel Time

We have two employees who are required to travel to different locations during the course of a workweek. They have a specified "base" location. Am I correct in assuming that if they are required to drive to a location other than their base location, they must be paid mileage from home to the specified location? If they go by their base location first, then they are paid mileage from the base location?

I don't think there's any law that requires you to pay mileage, so it's up to you, unless I'm missing something.

James is right that you don't have to pay mileage, but what an employee relations nightmare if you don't. However, you are required to compensate them for the travel time if they are non-exempt.
