paychecks of deceased employees

What do I do about the paycheck of an employee who has passed away?
We do not have a specific beneficiary designation with respect to wages.

In my last company out policy was if the check was direct deposited, we would still process it that way. If it was not, the check would be made out to "the estate of (employees name)" and then mailed to the address of record.
