Changing hours and wage

Are there any legal issues in changing hours and wages from a night shift and/or a regular shift, both of 8 hours, to 4 days worked with 10 hour days?

  • Assuming that none of your employees require a certain schedule due to a disability, there should be no problem in changing to 4 ten hour days. NOTE: If you have employees in states other than Texas, you might run into overtime problems (California, I believe, requires overtime to be calculated daily rather than weekly).
