Employee Enlightenment Program

One of our new directors has made a suggestion to start on Employee Enlightenment Program. This program will allow ees to learn about what goes on in other departments. They will have the opportunity to visit the other department, learn the workflow, etc. Only ees in good standing can participate.

Has anyone had experience with this type of program? I need input.

I have done this in the past and it was a real eye opener. Employees gained a new respect for other departments & it reduced the us aginst them mentality. It brought about a better compay wide team spirit. Hope it works as well for you.
