FMLA tracking software

Anybody had favorable experience with a stand-alone software that automates FMLA tracking??? We have 2650 ee's and the multitude of products that are on the market are geared for smaller employers (<100 ee's).....????

We have an archaic AS400 system and process our own payroll. We can (apparently) code a macro that could do the tracking, but then that would take HR convincing Finance of the need to do it. It seems to me that a contracted payroll service could do the same thing if it's noted when the hours are reported.

We've taken the approach that we would train department heads on FMLA and the tracking would be assigned to the department's secretary and submitted to HR. Not! I'd be interested in knowing what you find. Please let us know.
