Do any of you offer paid time off benefits to part time employees? If so, how do you do it? If the employee typically works 32 hours a week do you offer 32 hours of paid time off?
We discontinued the policy two years ago, but when we had it, we pro-rated their time off. So if you had a regularly scheduled 20 hour person, they got 1/2 of the time off benefits. We did not allow them to participate in any of the other benefits, such as health, life, etc.
We have a part time person who works 25 hrs a wk and offer the same hours(25) times # of weeks she has accrued since her hire date. Following the same schedule for full time ees. Currently she receives 2 wks of 25hrs per wk = 50 hrs
Regular PT is at least 20 hrs but less than 40. We pay vacation, holiday, and incentive at 50% (which equates to 40 hrs/yr until 9 yrs). They get insurance if they work over 35 hrs/week.

We also offer partial benefits.

Less than 20 hrs get prorated incentive hours.
