Anyone have any good ideas on cutting healthcare costs? They seem to be escalating every year. If anyone has any success stores, would appreciate hearing them.
Great timing, seeleyhr -- we have a brand spanking new Employment Law Letter article on this topic, "How can you tackle rising health care costs?" You can find it by logging in to the Subscribers Area of this website and searching with the HR Answer Engine.
IMHO you have to get your employees to stop treatng insurance as an entitlement. They need to become healthcare consumers. It's a long process but you can start with wellness programs. Your wellness programs should target your where your ee's are unhealthy. Your insurance company or TPA should be able to give you that info. Your local hospital can help you with the wellness programs.
