We have an employee who we have employed for about 3 years and has an ongoing medical condition and is out sick. We partially pay for his benefits (80%), but with him being out sick, and now being out over a month, can we drop his benefits because he is not working the required 32 hours a week? At this point, it is costing us over 200 dollars a month.

The Employer Response to Employee Form WH-381 includes provisions in number 5(a)(b)(c) which apply to health insurance premiums. The employee is given a 30-day grace period for making the premium payments or you may cancel his insurance as long as you give a written notice to him 15 days before the date that the health coverage will lapse.
