Health Insurance Waivers

I'm looking to see what other companies offer in terms of a waiver for those opting out of health insurance coverage.
Also, is there any surveys on-line about this?
Thanks,
Eve

If so, NOTHING!!! We found that if you compensated people for opting out, only the ones needing insurance would enroll, therefore driving up our experience rating.
Hope that helps.
Also, we do pay a $ amount to those EEs who Opt out. This is due NH law: If the company covers one EE 100% for health Ins. the ER must cover all EE regardless of the coverage status of an EE. So for us to not have to cover the part timers or seasonal EEs, we require the EE to pay a portion of the premium.
Now because we pay a portion of this benefit those EEs who do not want our coverage may opt out. Some are on other plans and some are on our plan through their spouse who works for us.
Those that opt out are paid a $ amount as their health benefit. While this may not seem right, it is, in that we have to treat each EE the same. if we offer to pay a health benefit to one we must pay it to all (eligible EEs)
