LOA

We have an employee who will be taking a LOA NOT FMLA just a non-FMLA medical leave of absence. Upon this employees return, can this employee immediately enroll in medical beneifits or must this employee wait until the next open enrollment? This employee will still be considered a current employee of our organization (not terminated) but not active either..this will be an unpaid leave of absen. if that makes any difference.

I would like to hear some of your policies on this..we obviously do not have one x;)
