Need Benefit Administrator

I would like to find a broker in PA that administers medical (with dental & vision) benefits. If anyone in PA would like to share their info, please email me at dhudak1@msn.com. If anyone has any advice of how to look for a broker, I would appreciate the knowledge. Thanks!

  • You might try word of mouth. Ask around to some other HR people who work with brokers. They will tell you whether they have been happy or not and maybe even if they can meet your needs. That's what I did when I came to this job and we have a broker that I wouldn't trade for anything. He really takes care of us. In fact, gave up an increase in commission to keep our insurance rates down.

    Good Luck.
  • As crazy as it sounds - let your fingers do the walking. When I sent out my RFP - I sent it to 4 companies that I knew & had worked with in the past & 5 companies out of the yellow pages. They'll come out & give a presentation & you can see which one you like - we eventually went with one of the companies that was listed in the yellow pages & it's one of the best moves we've made in a long time - or at least since our last big move (401k) from the horrible Merrill Lynch to the wonderful T. Rowe Price two years ago.
  • Thanks for the advice. We live in a small community, so there really isn't much choice here. I will give it a try though. Have a good day!
