W-2 Dependent Care Reporting

When reporting Dependent daycare on the employee's W-2 is it the amount claimed or the per pay period deductions that are recorded? Also, how is it handled when the last pay period falls on say December 26th. How do those last 3 days of the month get reported?

W-2s go according to check date, not pay period ending date. So would the deductions. As far as the reporting, it is the total amount deducted from the employee's check for the year - using the check dates.
