Our local hospital recently upgraded their mammography equipment to a digital system. We have been receiving notices from the group medical that this is considered "experimental" and the insurance company will not cover these mammograms.
Should we notify our employees of their option to choose digital or x-ray and make to arrangements with their doctor at the time the doctor orders the mammogram to schedule at another facility?
Have any of you run into this issue?
