Required Hours Worked/Benefit Availability

Does anyone know what the "law" states concerning the minimum number of hours an employee has to work to qualify for health insurance benefits? I know that many companies have their own number that they work off of but I was thinking there was a law concerning this.

As far as I'm aware of, there aren't any laws demanding if and when a company must offer benefits. Each company makes that determination on their own.
