We have a severance policy in place that gives employees 1 week for every year they are employed, or the minimum, whichever is greater. Our minimu is 4 weeks for non-exempt and 8 weeks for exempt.
Some employees are telling us that other companies are doing much more. Would anyone be willing share what their policy is?

Good luck!
2 weeks for every year with a minimum of one month, up to a maximum of 3 months. We also continue our share of medical and dental premiums during the severance period.
The norm I have found is 1 week for every year worked.
