Retirement Awards

We're thinking about formalizing our retirement gift/award program. I'm looking for suggestions from companies/banks that have a program that works. I'm particularly interested in learning if you set a specific dollar amount for gifts based on years of service, or position, or ??? Any information about plans in place would be beneficial. Thanks for your help.

    For our retirement awards we have a booklet where the employee can select their own gift. There are different booklets with different values of gifts based on years of service -- not on position.

    This is similar to what we use for our service awards. There are a variety of companies out there that offer these types of booklets for gift selection. That way the employee gets what they would really like. We use the Robbins Company.

    You might also consider a quick survey of employees as to what THEY would like. Obviously if you go with the above, this would not be an issue
