Pregnant applicant is hired. Complications require intermittent absences both before and after the baby's birth, in addition to the six weeks recoup after the actual birth. Company has a 90-day introductory period before eligibility for benefits for all new employees. When does this employee reach 90 days? Since she does not qualify for FMLA, does she have to actually work the equivalent of 90 days active employment?
