Employees called to active duty

We have our first Reserve employee being called to active duty next week. He will serve for 90 days then return to work. I understand our obligations under USERRA, but I am wondering what other companies do for their employees in this situation beyond the legal requirements. Does anyone pick up the COBRA cost for a period of time? Does anyone pay the difference between the military pay and their civilian pay? Out of 500 employees, we only have 4 or 5 who fall into this situation and we want to be fair to all concerned.
