Employee Recognition Program

I'm interested in implementing an Employee Recognition Program. I'm looking for some successful programs and companies being used.

    Your first step is to decice what you want to recognize employees for. I.E. length of service, attendance, meeting goals, etc.

    We use a program that is very well received. We refer to it as our MVP program. Every other month we call for nominations for exceptional workplace actions. (Employees actually submit written nominations.) The nominations are viewed by committee and voted upon. Next we have an MVP breakfast that all staff are invited to. Nominations are read and the winner is announced. The winner is the recipient of lots of goodies, a plaque, gift certificates, etc. Its a nice way to get all employees involved.
