Intermittent Leave

If an employee works 12 hours a day, 4 days a week, how many hours of FMLA is he entitled to? I know he would get 12 weeks, but how does that translate in hours when taking intermittent leave (40 hours x 12 = 480). Does that mean an employee who works 48 hours per week would get 576 hours (48 hours x 12 = 576)? Or is it just limited to 480 hours? Thank you!
