FMLA for daughter giving birth

An employee just came to inform me that her daughter will be having a baby sometime next week. The employee stated that after the baby is born the employee wants to use their 12 days of vacation to be with daughter/granddaughter. That's not a problem.
The employee then went on to tell me that she would like to take another four to six weeks after her vacation to be with the daughter/granddaughter.
Could any of this additional time (or even the 12 days of vacation) be considered FMLA for a family member (daughter) with a serious health condition (birth)? Thanks.
