WC and overtime

If an employee has been released to full duty with no limitations after a seven-month long workers compensation claim, can the employer decide not to offer overtime for fear of said employee sustaining an additional injury? (the rest of the department will be allowed to work OT)

Not in my opinion for that reason. Can you say retaliation for filing WC claim?. . just my thoughts of course.

I would not restrict the employee from working overtime if they have a full medical release. Why do you feel they are more prone to an accident when working overtime? If they aren't allowed to do OT, you can bet on some type of attitude problem or another work-injury while working their "regular" hours. IMHO
