Intermittent fml and holiday pay

This hasn't come up before. I have an ee taking interm. fml. She will work the day before the holiday but the doctor appt is the day after the holiday. Would you pay her for the holiday?
Our fml is unpaid so an ee on full weeks of fml would not get paid anyway but don't see anything in our policy addressing intermittent fml.

Is the appointment going to take all day? Perhaps the EE could report for work before or after the appointment.
Further, when the EE is utilizing FML, we require the concurrent use of paid leave banks until they are fully depleted.
