Time at IME Compensable?

Our current practice is to pay employees for time spent in their Initial Med Evaluation when the evaluation takes place during the employee's regularly scheduled shift.
Do any of you pay differently? Travel time? What about IME's that occur during non-working hours?
Is any of this NOT up to the employer's discretion/policy? (meaning required by law)
I did a Forum search - I'm sure the answers are there but I'm just not using the right words...
Thanks!

If you're uncertain, a quick call to your State's Work Comp Commission will get you a pamphlet and an answer. Let us know what they say.
Not sure whether or not we'll continue to pay... Still curious to hear what others do - particularly in AZ.
x:-)
We pay the employee to the end of the shift, but not beyond that. If the injury happens at the end of the shift, they do not get paid past thier shift for sitting in an urgent care waiting to be seen.
