EE with intermittent papers. Son has psychological disorder. Section 8.b. sates pt needs psychologocal comfort during outpatient visits and periodically to help stablize the patient during problematic episodes.

It sounds like an FMLA event if he calls in and says he's having probs with his son to count it as FMLA. I'm not missing anything am I?

If this scenario were in my company I would count is as FMLA. I don't think you're missing anything, unless I am as well.

Sounds reasonable to me. I suppose this could turn into a problem if the EE chooses to try and abuse the system and uses the Son excuse to cover a variety of non-FML issues. That only becomes a big problem if the EE is using this card to avoid attendance discipline issues he would otherwise face.
