FMLA bonding

Do you have employees fill out the medical certification when requesting bonding leave, or do they just fill out the request for leave. When bonding there is nothing medical required, right? You're going to know whether or not they are having a baby. They'll add them to the insurance, etc.
I'm a bit uncomfortable with not requiring the cert to be filled out, because I want to follow procedure to the letter when it comes to FMLA. But, as you know, doctor's are starting to charge for the cert's and I'm wondering if I'm being a hard axx by requiring them to get certification. What say you, oh wise one's.

I don't think certification is required in this case and I also don't believe that creates a consistency problem.
