Continuous Leave

I have an employee who works 6 days on, 8 days off. I can't find in the regs where it might define specifically what a workweek is. It just says they are entitled to 12 weeks off. Does that mean 12 straight weeks, or do I count from 6 days off and 8 on, almost similar to an intermittent leave.

We use hours. 40X12=480. Each employee gets 480 every rolling 12 months.

FMLA is based on 480 hours or 12 five-day workweeks, regardless of what the standard work week is.
