How to count 1250 hours

A part time, seasonal employee is expecting a baby in October. Do I count working hours from the time she applies for FMLA (which is now) or the time she anticipates needing to use the leave (October 2003)?

Right now she has worked over 1250 hours in the past 12 months. Based on the hours she is anticipated to work between now and October, she will not meet the hours requirment when it is time for her leave.
