Notifying EE when out of FMLA?

Do you notify employees when they are running out of FMLA? If so, how far in advance do you notify them?

  • We try to notify when they have exhausted 400 hours. Each of our supervisors are responsible for tracking any and all leave (paid or unpaid) and then payroll conducts an audit each month. The supervisors notify HR when the EE reaches 400 hrs. and we send a reminder letter with the obligatory verbage about what may happen if you do not return.
