Greetings-Just wondering do you categorize your 911 dispatchers as Protective Services or Adminstrative support?

We have some staff who function as 911 dispatchers among other things, and I categorize them as support staff based on the idea that their jobs keep them stationary, sitting at a workstation, answering calls, referring calls, calling services (including 911) as needed.

IE he had some parking enforcement specialists (meter "maid") in protective services and some in Admin. Support. Also Sgts in protective Services where my instructions indicate they should be in Technicians. I would like to clean it all up but it will really mess up my comparison stats. .

You really need to be looking at the duties and responsibilities and not working off titles. We categorize police sergeants as protective services based on their responsibilities.

Thanks David, I will do that. The EEO instructions speak mainly titles rather than duties which is where I was getting hung up.
