Just curious. Is it your feeling that managers should have special evaluation forms that are different from other employee evaluation forms?

If so, how?

We use the same evaluation form, but the emphasis is different. Leadership skills, for instance, matter more. The scorecard is the same, but the reviewer keeps in mind the different level of importance in each area.

I have seen a few management review forms in the past. They only had a few differences. (They had a class for supervision, but not one for following directions well, etc.) If you really want a different form, I would start with your regular form and make a few changes. You won't need many as most things apply to staff and management, just in different ways.
