Skills Tests

We are an electro-mechanical assembly facility and are in the process of upgrading our job descriptions. Part of the process includes administering a hands-on test to determine if the employee is qualified for higher level jobs. We have testing in place to use for circuit board soldering skills, but need something for testing mechanical assembly aptitude. Do any of you use skills testing and can you give me any ideas where these tests can be purchased?

Ray, when you say testing for mechanical assembly apptitue, do you mean something like the ability to read setup sheets, blueprints, schematics? Or do you mean more in the line of eye/ hand coordination?

A hands on test to demonstrate dexterity. I purchased a basic dexterity test from the Psychological Corporation several years ago, but they seem to have reinvented themselves and no longer provide that kind of test.
