Make Job Descritpions Avaialbe to EEs Online???

I have in mind to make our Job Descriptions available to staff via our Intranet. Are there any issues about this that I should be aware of?

Right now job descriptions are kept in a notebook in HR, and anyone can review them or request copies of them.

The only issue is keeping the job descriptions current. As a public employer, our job descriptions are public information. Placing them on the intranet and internet definitely cuts down foot traffic in HR by people wanting copies.

Posting them is a great idea. Just make sure they are in .pdf or some other format so that you are the only one who can change them when needed. We have them posted and each includes their salary range as a footer. We just need to make sure to keep them updated.

We have a site on our company intranet that contains all sorts of stuff for our ee's. In our HR folder we have everything from insurance forms, Employee Handbook, various policies, etc and job descriptions. So far it has worked well for us. We do have them set up as "view only."
