We are making major renovations to our office and managment wants to close the office for the two weeks it will take to complete the work. Are we obligated to pay the exempt employees for the two weeks or would they be handled like the hourly ee's and go on unemployment for those two weeks?

If there is not work available and they do not work any hours in a week, you can lay each person off and have them go through UC.
