Full charge bookkeeper

I'm trying to determine a rate of pay for a full charge bookkeeper with 24 yrs of experience, BA degree, knowledge of MS office, Quickbooks, Great Plains Software and Peachtree. Do any of you have such an employee? Can you share salary? This would be for full time.
We are a non-profit and I'm trying to see what the "for profit" world pays.

Our financial assistant has been here for 12.5 years, but she has quite a bit of prior experience. She makes $32,300 per year, plus full benefits. We're governmental, subsidized, and "for profit" (though we never make it).

Addition: All AR/AP, payroll processing, and some general ledger duties, and receipting operating funds and grant monies. 50+ employees, but we've got over a thousand clients and probably 700+ contractors or vendors. She's also filled in as the "CFO". I'm thinking she's worth more than we're paying her...

Our bookkeeper also does financial planning, budgets and some HR and it now pays $45,000. for a company with under 20 employees.

Hi,

We have 11 people in this position. They must be able to do financial statements as well, so we call them accountants. The range is from 34k to 48.5k. I'd guess your person would be in the top third.
