Both excellent sites - I wanted to underscore that you MUST have them checked because they will translate word for word, verb tenses might be off, etc. It also helps to simplify your document going into it.
agreed...it will not recognize slang. You need to be very plain and literal AND I agree that you need to have someone look it over for content (saying exactly what you wanted it to say).
I use the free translation site mentioned above frequently as a time saver but must check it thoroughly. Not only will it translate word for word and literally, but many nouns are incorrect based on context. We used the word "record" once referring to a written record of a meeting, and the program translated it as a vinyl LP record! The free translation site does human translations, too.

With all translations that are done by computer rather than the humans, it must be double checked because computers make very literal translations
