vacation accrual on paid leave of absence?

If I have an ee out on paid leave, due to a pending investigation, does her vacation time still accrue while she is out? My policy states
that you will accrue 4.62 hours for every 80 hours worked.

It depends on what the creator of the policy intended. It may be that the writer intended it to mean 'in pay status' or it could be that he/she intended it as written, 'hours worked' which does not include being on leave. This calls for an internal company ruling rather than that of the Forum, I suspect.

Our policy states if an employee is on a paid leave, they accrue PTO; if they are on unpaid leave, they do not. Works for us!
