New FLSA Standards vs. NJ

This is an excerpt from the HR newsletter:

"Alaska, Arkansas, Connecticut, Illinois, Kentucky,
Maryland, Minnesota, Montana, New Jersey, North Dakota,
Pennsylvania, Washington, West Virginia, and Wisconsin
have enacted some version of the old "long test" or
"short test" into law. Unless those rules are changed by
the state legislatures, the employers in each of those
states must comply with both the old and the new
regulations. Thus, the more relaxed standards for
administrative employees, for example, may not be
available to employers in those states."


Does anyone know what the NJ regs are?

NJJEL: Sorry that no one in New Jersey has responded openly. I did a Google search with "FLSA New Jeersey", the third item down the listing is the minimum wage laws connection, I am sure had I searched a little futher I would have gotten to the laws for the O/T if there are any.

Thanks Pork. i too was looking for a fellow NJ formite to respond. Guess they are all at the shore on vacation where i wish I was!

You should be able to search through them in the HR Answer Engine in the subscribers area.

I took a quick glance and didn't see anything that looked like the long test. And I haven't seen NJ in any of the lists like the one you quote.
