Child Labor - TX

Anyone know of state regs in TX concerning a 14yr old performing routine clerical work in the office which her father manages. Is a work permit required?

There are no special requirements in TX for child labor, just the federal regs which say 14-15 yr olds can work up to eight hours a day 40 hrs a week not past 9pm.

An FYI - those are the limits from June 1 to Labor Day. During the school year, the limits are 3 hours per school day up to 18 hours per week.

Also, if the business is owned by the parent and it isn't mining, mfg, or a hazardous occupation, there are no limits on the child working.
