HIPAA Business Associate Agreement

[font size="1" color="#FF0000"]LAST EDITED ON 04-01-04 AT 11:31AM (CST)[/font][br][br]We submit our applications for health care to our agent, who submits them to the company and we also work through our agent with healthcare questions. It is my understanding that a Business Associate Agreement is only necessary between our Group Plan provider and the agent, and that it is not necessary for there to be an agreement between us and the agent. However, we still feel that because we are providing information to the agent, that we should have some type of "Business Associate Agreement" but maybe not as extensive. Does anyone have an agreement that could be used for this purpose?
