Will someone please state emphatically, no holds barred, forever hold your peace, how long an employer must keep copies of W 2's ???? Thank you so much.

The answer is: If you have employees, you must keep all employment tax records for at least 4 years after the date the tax becomes due or is paid, whichever is later.
