App for Authority to Conduct Business

Need to file an Application for conduting business with the Colorado Secretary of State. Any entity not originally organized under Colorado law is considered a foreign entity, this is why the application needs to be processed.

My question is this, What does "conduct business" mean for this purpose? If a company organized in another state has an office and employees in Colorado, is that company required to file with the Colordo Secretary of State as a foreign corporation?

I suggest you call the Colorado Secty of State for a proper response to your questions? You will also have to register with the Employment Security people or State DOL for tax purposes if you have employees residing in that state.

Also, in Colorado you have to report new hires to the child support registry.
